Team Work is Key to Any Success
With the launch of our Cubs pack in February 2015 and the existing Beavers colony it is important to get the groups and children to meet the newest members and help build the foundations of lasting friendships.
The scouts philosophy is built on team work, helping and accepting one another and making new friends. This is a big emphasis in our group and we kicked off the our 2015 sessions with lots of fun games which inadvertently help the children learn lots of important life skills whilst having a good time.
The Cubs loved the ladder game and had to rely on another to ensure that they were back in the correct place before starting the latest thing. A staple in any group the parachute can be used for lots of games helping the Beavers to improve the listening skills, waiting and patience whilst ensuring that a good time is had by all!
Sleep of a Lifetime for Cubs
At 1V Scouts our vision is to inspire our young generation to dream and aspire to take our community to new levels. Part and parcel of this is to incorporate as many unique and inspiring experiences we can for our children.
We have planned to take our cubs to a sleepover at the Natural History Museum at their Dino Snore event. The sleepover is on the Lonely Planet’s list for places to have an extraordinary sleepover in 2016. The children will be taking part in a torch light tour of the museum, planned activities and watching a science show whilst the doors are closed to the general public.
In addition to the sleepover we will be showing our children some of the highlights of London from the London Eye to the Houses of Parliament. All in all, it looks like a fabulous opportunity for our children!
Group Leader Nisbah Hussain said, “We are so pleased to be able to give our Cubs this one in a lifetime opportunity to be part of the sleepover at the Natural History Museum. We aim to inspire our youngsters and unique experiences really helps there development.”
